Abstract
The principal’s leadership plays a strategic role in determining the quality and success of educational implementation in schools. Weaknesses in school management, particularly in the management of facilities, infrastructure, and human resources, often become major obstacles to improving educational quality. This study aims to analyze the role of principal leadership in enhancing educational quality and to identify its impact on teacher performance and school management. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects consisted of the principal, vice principal, and teachers at a Madrasah Aliyah in Pringsewu Regency, Lampung. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that improvements in school quality are strongly influenced by visionary and participatory principal leadership. Supervision, guidance, and continuous support provided by the principal contribute positively to the enhancement of instructional administration and teaching resource quality. However, the optimization of facilities, infrastructure, and extracurricular activities has not yet been fully achieved. These results emphasize that effective principal leadership is a key factor in sustaining continuous improvements in educational quality.
