Abstract

This study aims to explore strategic management in enhancing students' literacy interest at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 2 Tanggamus. Literacy is an essential skill in the globalization era; however, data indicate that literacy interest among students in this madrasah remains low, with average scores falling below standards across various indicators. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis related to literacy programs. The findings revealed that the implemented strategies included need-based planning, interactive program implementation, and periodic evaluations to measure success. The results also indicated an increase in student participation in literacy activities through innovations such as reading corners, integrating literacy with digital technology, and active support from teachers and parents. This study concludes by recommending a comprehensive strategic management model to be applied in other madrasahs to sustainably enhance students' literacy interest.
