SISTEM INFORMASI MANAJEMAN PERPUSTAKAAN SMK GRAFIKA GADINGREJO BERBASIS DIGITAL

Abstract

The development of information technology has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including in the field of education. SMK Grafika Gadingrejo seeks to utilize this technology to improve the quality of library services through the implementation of a digital-based management information system. This library management information system aims to facilitate the process of managing book collections, member data collection, borrowing, and returning books more efficiently and accurately. With this digital system, students, teachers, and school staff can access library information in real-time without having to come directly to the library. This system is built using the waterfall method by considering the stages carried out. Digital library management is equipped with features such as online catalog searches, barcode-based book borrowing and returning, and a reminder system for loan due dates through notifications. The implementation of a digital-based library information system at SMK Grafika Gadingrejo can improve the efficiency of library management, expand the reach of information access, and encourage students' interest in reading. This study describes the design, development, and evaluation of the system to ensure the system functions optimally according to user needs.
