Abstract

Islamic educational institutions have an important role in producing the next generation of the nation with Islamic character. The quality of education in Islamic educational institutions is highly dependent on the quality of its teachers. Therefore, the development of teacher human resources (HR) is very important. This study aims to describe the concept of teacher HR development management, the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders in teacher HR development, and effective teacher HR development strategies and programs. The results of the study indicate that teacher HR development management in Islamic educational institutions must be carried out systematically, planned, and sustainably. The roles and responsibilities of stakeholders in teacher HR development must be clear and well-defined. Teacher HR development strategies and programs must be adjusted to the needs and conditions of Islamic educational institutions.
