Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of pedagogical competence and the implementation of clinical supervision on the quality of learning. Pedagogical competence and the implementation of good and quality clinical supervision will improve the quality of learning in schools. Sourced from the theory of pedagogical competence and clinical supervision, as well as the quality of learning, this research emphasizes that pedagogical competence and the implementation of good clinical supervision will influence the quality of learning in educational units, which has an impact on improving the quality of students both in terms of affective, cognitive and psychomotor skills. A quantitative method with a survey approach to 13 elementary schools in East Kotaagung District was used to measure the influence of pedagogical competence and the implementation of clinical supervision on the quality of learning by collecting data from respondents using a questionnaire. The pedagogical competence and implementation of clinical supervision implemented by teachers and school principals significantly improve the quality of learning, which ultimately has an impact on improving the quality of students. Educational units need to adopt and improve the competency and implementation of clinical supervision of teachers, to improve the quality of learning in their respective educational units. This research contributes to identifying the influence of pedagogical competence and the implementation of clinical supervision in elementary schools throughout East Kotaagung District, the implementation of which is still not structured and programmed.
