Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of inclusive education in primary schools (SD) in Pringsewu Regency, focusing on policies, challenges, and teachers’ readiness. Inclusive education seeks to provide equal opportunities for students with special needs to participate in learning within regular classroom settings. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation in several primary schools in Pringsewu Regency. The findings indicate that although inclusive education policies have been implemented, their execution still faces challenges such as limited facilities, insufficient teaching staff, and the need for teacher training. Moreover, there is variation in the acceptance and services provided to students with special needs across schools. These results highlight the importance of collaboration among the government, schools, and the community, as well as the need to enhance facilities and teacher training to ensure that inclusive education can be more effective and responsive to students’ needs.
